Dr. Savarese began practicing on Hilton Head Island in 1985. He's become a mainstay in the community and is going to continue to treat patients alongside Dr. Couzens and Dr. Pauls. He is a native of Wantagh on Long Island, NY and graduated from Bucknell University in 1977 with a degree in Biology. He attended graduate school at the University of Pennsylvania where he earned his Doctor of Medicinal Dentistry and taught in the prosthetic department. Dr. Savarese served four years with the Navy at Parris Island where he received extensive training in Endodontics and Prosthedontics.
Dr. Savarese is an active member of the American Dental Association and the Southeastern Academy of Prosthedontics. He has completed extensive continuing education at the Dawson Academy focusing on comprehensive dentistry and full mouth reconstructions and has over 20 years experience in implant dentistry, advanced crown and bridge, and cosmetic dentistry. He has been restoring implants and placing porcelain veneers since 1985. He currently works with a periodontist to treat advanced perioprosthesis cases and the placement of implants.
Dr. Savarese's lovely wife Pat is a native of Short Hills, NJ and a teacher of Spanish at Hilton Head Christian Academy. They have four amazing children. Anthony is a 2007 graduate of Winthrop University, Kathryn is a 2009 graduate of Furman University, Elaine is a student at the College of Charleston, and Peter attends high school at Hilton Head Christian Academy. Dr. Savarese enjoys spending time with his family and fishing the waters surrounding Hilton Head Island. He also has played guitar for the last 40 years and continues playing in his leisure time.
Julie has been working as a Dental Hygienist on Hilton Head for 22 years so it’s safe to say she knows a thing or two. Aside from providing comprehensive dental care customized for each patient, she encourages patients to share their fears and truly listens to what they’d like to accomplish concerning their overall care. Her favorite part of the job is forming long lasting relationships with her coworkers and the patients. She has a wonderful husband, Jim, a beautiful daughter, Alexandria, and a mischievous dog, Bleu. She spends her free time enjoying the beautiful “ Low Country” with her family.
Jennifer has been a Dental Assistant on Hilton Head for nearly 22 years. On a daily basis she’s in charge of everything from providing top-notch patient care to taking x-rays, sterilizing instruments, and more. Her absolute favorite part of the job is seeing patients smile after their procedure. She wishes more people knew how much dentistry has changed over the years and that you no longer need to be afraid. She has five wonderful children and three sweet grandkids. In her free time you can find Jennifer relaxing and spending time with her family.
Leslie has been working as a Dental Assistant on Hilton Head for 18 years. She manages pre- and post-op procedures, x-rays, clinical exams, and much more. Her favorite part of the job is tackling complex cases, seeing the before and afters, and hearing the patient responses afterwards. She’s been married for over 25 years and has two beautiful daughters and one darling granddaughter. In her free time, she loves to spend time out on the water! Whether it’s a river, beach, lake, or anything in between, you can catch Leslie lounging, boating, and kayaking the day away.
